What parent wouldn't want to instill self-confidence and self-esteem in their children?

Picture
Self-Confidence:
The feeling that you have the tools and/or strategies to complete a goal.

Self-Esteem:
The feeling that regardless of the outcome of your goal, you are still whole as a person.

The Bad News
As much as you wish you could wave a magic wand and give these two essential traits for success to your children, you can't.  They are called self-confidence and self-esteem, because they have to get them on their own.

The Good News
You can, however, provide them with one of the most valuable gifts a parent can give their child - the tools and strategies to create self-confidence and self-esteem for themselves
.
Raising Self-Confident Children
It's every parent's desire to raise self-confident, self-assured children.  Persistence, resilience and confidence are some of the most important character traits for your child to develop.  Imagine your son or daughter just brimming with those magical ingredients for success! Wouldn't you just love to instill your child with these qualities, with the simple wave of a magic wand?

The problem is, it's called SELF-confidence because you cannot give it to them and they cannot rent it from you.  They have to own it.  And every child can do just that...as long as you provide them with the necessary tools, strategies and optimum environment for learning.

"I wanted to take a moment to thank you for speaking at our Parent Association Meeting at M.S. 245, Computer School in New York City. The talk you facilitated on “Raising Confident Kids” was quite interesting and eye opening to all attendees. You have a great presence and were able to balance being entertaining and intelligent flawlessly. You kept all attendees interested and engaged throughout the discussion. ...Parents raved about the presentation afterwards."
